The She Matters Skill Acquisition Program not just affirms the statement above and as part of the broader She Matters Initiative, the program goes beyond menstrual hygiene education to provide hands-on vocational training that builds confidence, independence, and long-term resilience. Many of the girls we serve come from communities where educational and economic opportunities are limited; this program bridges that gap by giving them the tools to take charge of their lives.
The Program delivers structured, hands-on training in skill areas selected based on the girls’ own preferences, identified through a needs-assessment survey. These skills are easy to start, require minimal capital, and can quickly become sustainable income streams for the girls.
